Privacy Policy
This page explains how Unseen List handles your map, browser storage and optional analytics.
Your map and browser storage
Selected places, an optional name, colours, label preferences, language choices and your analytics decision are stored in this browser using local storage. They remain until you change them or clear the site’s browser data. The map does not require an account and does not automatically sync to another device.
Images and shared links
Images are created in your browser. If you share an image, it includes the name and places shown on it. The page address can contain your map selections and optional name after the # symbol. Anyone with that full link can view those details. Avoid including anything you do not want to share.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics loads only after you accept analytics cookies. It helps us understand page visits, map opens, first selections and image downloads. Events include the map type and site language. Our tracking code excludes your entered name and selected places, and removes query strings and fragments from the page address and referrer sent in its configuration. Google may process cookie identifiers, device/browser information and network information. Advertising consent and Google Signals are disabled in our code.
Your cookie choices
You can use the maps and download images without accepting analytics. Open Cookie preferences in the footer to change your choice. Rejecting disables future analytics events and attempts to delete this site’s Google Analytics cookies. It does not erase information already processed by Google. Clearing browser data also removes saved maps and preferences.
Service providers
Your browser connects to the website host to load the site; network information such as an IP address is part of that request. If you consent to analytics, your browser also connects to Google. Google’s processing is described in its privacy information, linked below.
Privacy requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal data, object to processing, withdraw consent or complain to your local data protection authority. Local map data can be removed through your browser’s site-data settings. Operator identity, hosting details and service retention settings must be completed before this policy is published.
