About this travel map

How are Australia’s tourism regions counted?

Select from 76 named tourism regions in Tourism Research Australia’s 2026 boundary release. Selecting any region counts its state or territory automatically. The map covers six states and two mainland territories. Tourism regions are not administrative districts, and the percentage measures selected regions rather than land area. External territories and unclassified areas are excluded.

Can I download my travel map as an image?

Yes. Add your name if you wish, choose your colours and select Download PNG. The image includes your map, visit count, percentage, progress bar, the map’s UnseenList.com address and a travel quotation.

Do I need an account, and where is my progress saved?

No account is required. Selections and map preferences are saved in this browser on this device. They do not automatically sync to another device. Clearing browser data can remove them, so download a PNG to keep a copy.

Can I use the map without accepting analytics cookies?

Yes. Selecting places, personalising the map and downloading a PNG work without analytics consent. You can change your choice using Cookie preferences in the footer.
